EcoCenter environmental management services was founded in 1989
Initially specializing in environmental consulting for local and regional state authorities and businesses.
EcoCenter takes over a toxic waste landfill just outside the city of Kirovograd in order to build a hazardous waste treatment plant.
During the Soviet era the landfill was used as a toxic waste dump for local heavy industry
History
Our history
1996 - EcoCenter starts the first phase of construction
1997 – mercury-containing waste treatment facility completed (fluorescent lamps, thermometers)
2000 - construction of hazardous waste treatment plant in Kirovograd was included into Ukraine national hazardous waste management plan
2001 – launch of experimental facility for halvanic waste treatment. Process was developed in collaboration with Kiev Glukhovsky research institute
2004 - launch of dehydratation-based treatment processes for oil contaminated waste and waste cooling & lubricating liquids
2006 - launch of experimental hydrolysis-based waste pesticide treatment unit
2008 - EcoCenter ltd carries out treatment & disposal of oil-contaminated sand as part of 2007 Kerch strait oil spill disaster response
6000 tonnes of oil-contaminated waste treated producing environmentally safe asphalt component
